Overall: Gray had an excellent introduction in the August 2013 issue of Harper's Bazaar. There were two major spreads dedicated to the color gray (shown below) and the few ads that the magazine contained were primarily gray focused. This issue particularly focused on gray in menswear inspired suits for women and the color navy paired with gray.

Accessories were also seen in gray, which was a bit different from the August issue. Advertisements featuring gray included Banana Republic, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Eileen Fisher, and Donna Karan. The title, "Gray Matters" was also coined from this issue and was the inspiration for this blog's name, "All that Matters is Gray."

Overall: Gray was definitely lacking in this issue, but was seen in menswear inspired women's clothing. It seems that gray is fading out a bit for high fashion, but is definitely sticking with sweaters for the average consumer and business suits for professionals.

Overall: The lack of gray in this issue was identical to the October issue. Most of the magazines are beginning to focus back on black for winter, but gray is still seen in women's suits. I also noticed that gray sweaters are making their way into the average consumer market. Below, I have an Isabel Marant for H&M ad from this November issue of Harper's Bazaar which I believe accurately describes gray during the month of November. It has made its way into stores such as Forever 21, small boutiques, department stores, and many more. I have also seen this first hand while shopping around the local stores in my area.

I loved the metallic look because it gave a sparkle to the dreary winter weather we have to endure. I thought it was a great way to bring gray into winter. Below is an example of this metallic.
