This blog is dedicated to the gray trend of Fall 2013. I will follow the trend as it makes it way through magazines, runway shows, celebrities, and more. To start, I'd like to say that I personally LOVE this trend. I think it is classy and far from outré. Gray comes in so many different shades and designers are taking advantage of that. So far, I have noticed that some may opt for a light gray coat to create a calm outfit for the summer to fall transition, while other designers take the plunge with a charcoal gray ensemble. Throughout this blog, I will identify what type of garment I notice is most commonly seen in this color. However, I believe that no matter what garment is put in gray it can be made fabulous!
My initial prediction for this trend would be that it will catch on. I believe that many retailers will start to adopt this color into the color palettes of their stores. I do think it will be a subtle trend though as gray is often seen as a neutral and typically paired with other colors. I would guess that sweaters and jackets will be the most common gray attire for Fall 2013. Consumer acceptance will most likely be excellent in my opinion, because it is a classy neutral perfect for any wardrobe! Gray is the perfect balance between white and black, adding a bit more softness to a neutral palette!
